What I want to talk to you today about is a particularly important subject for DV 2022 winners. It's the question about whether you should submit your documents before being asked or not. I want to go through that and explain what happened in DV 2021 and what my advice to people had been, and how I'm now changing that advice for DV 2022 going forward until things get a bit more sorted out at KCC. So, when you read the instructions, it sounds like the instructions say something like you will receive information about what the further steps will be. If you read the instructions (and I hope most of you are reading the instructions), you would get the impression that you need to wait to be asked to send in your documents. The process is that you send in your DS-260, and you wait for a period of time until that's processed. Then, at some point, they would send you an email and say, "Please send in your documents."
